| On April 9, IATP’s Ganja Site Administrator
Sara Humbatova conducted a seminar on “English and
the Internet” at the Ganja Education Information
Center. Twelve participants, including teachers
and students of the foreign languages faculty and
other interested personnel were participated at
the seminar. The curriculum of the seminar was designed
to increase professional skills of the secondary
school teachers and students by using modern technologies
and newly materials through Internet. Sara Humbatova
introduced to the participants some useful and effective
Internet sites such as www.allbest.ru,

www.translate.ru,
www.perivodov.net,
www.englspace.km.ru,

| studying and teaching English to
reinforce their skills. During the seminar, lecture
introduced an online English-Azeri dictionary sites,
and demonstrated how the system of online dictionaries
works. Additionally, she taught participants how
to |

| search for English, versions of Azeri
words. Therefore, participants an online checked
English knowledge by giving English grammar test
in Internet. At the end of the seminar one of the
participants commented, “I recently use Internet,
I always tried to find useful English materials,
tests, grammar but I couldn’t find. I couldn’t imagine
that there are so many effective web sites on the
Internet. Thanks to IATP for conducting such a useful
and highly professional seminar for secondary school
teachers and students”. |
